The book presents the results of a 2017 study carried out by the Institute of Justice in Warsaw. The study explores the section of binding legal regulations defining the structure and functioning of selected legal professions that sets out the standards of disciplinary liability under Polish law. The study covers the most popular legal professions such as advocates (adwokaci), legal counsels (radcowie prawni), notaries, public prosecutors, judges, bailiffs and court referendaries (referendarze sądowi). Certain rules of disciplinary liability of certified auditors were also analysed and the study presents a comparative overview of legal professions in the completely different legal realities of the United States of America.
