The monograph contains a collection of study results devoted to several key legal issues. On the one hand, this is a classic issue of judicial protection in administrative matters. It seems that this topic is very well developed in both Poland and Hungary, because these are countries with a rich tradition of administrative courts, dating back to the beginnings of this institution in modern Europe.

On the other hand, the issues chosen by the authors confirm that social development is associated with a greater variety of administrative activities that require effective judicial review. For the effectiveness of this control, it is important to provide for appropriate temporary protection measures. It is also extremely important to ensure that appropriate legal regulations for older people are ensured. The authors also focused on the issues of mediation in criminal or misdemeanor cases and relating to the use of solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI) in the legal system.

The bilateral nature of the project and publication means that the reader can familiarize himself with solutions from both Polish and Hungarian law, as well as references to legal systems and practices of other countries. In the era of globalization, legal systems, often growing out of separate traditions, also use similar legal institutions, and comparative research enriches the experience of each of the analyzed countries.

The publication written in English is the result of research conducted as part of Polish-Hungarian cooperation on the most current problems occurring in many branches of law. Its authors are scientists (lawyers) dealing with various issues from various areas of law, examining them mainly in the legal systems of their own countries, although obviously with references to international solutions. It should be emphasized that the individual texts are very interesting, and the whole publication responds to the interest in new threads in Polish, Hungarian and international law.

The subject of the research are issues inherently new to the law, such as issues related to artificial intelligence, or those that need to be assessed after years of functioning (certain issues of criminal procedure or administrative proceedings, etc.) or show the evolution in the perception of various institutional solutions.
